今天是2005年最後ㄧ天,也是 Henri Matisse ( 1869.12/31-1954.11/3 )的136歲生日
貼幾張圖在網上,聊表紀念與敬意,並預祝大夥兒新年快樂,振翅飛翔......

馬諦斯和畢卡索被譽為20世紀最重要的兩位法國畫家,如果畢卡索是個花枝招展的畫壇明星
那麼馬諦斯就像個沉默內斂的抒情藝師.

馬諦斯原本讀法律,年輕時還當過書記.21歲生了場大病,休養期間開始塗鴉,觸發繪畫興趣
遂決定日後投注終生熱情,做個專業畫家
馬諦斯初期他受到印象派與後印象派畫家如賽尚,梵谷,高更等影響
並在中國與日本古畫中飲取養份
36歲那年終於找到自己筆觸粗曠,色彩明快的畫風.

馬諦斯除了繪畫之外,也做雕塑,剪紙,封面設計,教堂窗飾壁畫等
他為布列松影集"決定的瞬間"(1952)設計之剪紙封面,洛陽紙貴
10幾年前我在巴黎的跳蚤市場找到,開價上千美金,只有翻一翻的份兒
一本印刷物也成為藝術品哩...
