誰是「遠行人」經年累月的陪伴者?
應該是墓塚前這些石人,石獸罷 ...
鄭崇和 (1756-1827),原籍金門
19歲時隨父率族人來台拓荒闢地,初居苗栗後龍
以教書為生,後遷至竹塹從事開墾
因熱心公益,建設鄉里,備受愛戴
逝世後,鄉人請入祀鄉賢祠,清廷下旨誥封中憲大夫/晉封通奉大夫等榮銜
鄭崇和古墓建於清道光7年 (1827)同治6年 (1867) 重修
墓塚前准有翁仲,石馬,石羊,石虎各ㄧ對守衛者
日以繼夜護管著他的靈魂
石人的威嚴及大器
石獸的可愛與樸拙
在台灣的現場史蹟中是罕見的

王德祿出生於嘉義縣-"蕃婆"（安和村）
曾位居清代提督將領
因作戰勇猛,功績彪炳
72歲病逝後被朝廷追贈為 "太子太保"
是滿清朝代官位最高的台灣人
他的老家因而改名"太保鄉"
王德祿墓位於嘉義縣
六腳鄉與新港鄉交界處的農地上
佔地約二公頃
因"太子"是一品官位
此墓建於道光24年 (1844)
距今162年
30年前我造訪過ㄧ次
今年初又再去會面
但不管風往哪個方向吹
歲月起起落落
這兒的空氣與泥土仍然芬芳自在...
